Brook Wingman XB2

From Accessible Gaming Wiki

The Brook Wingman XB2 is a controller adapter released by Brook Gaming in 2022.[1] It allows modern wired and wireless controllers to be used on Xbox 360, original Xbox, and Windows PC.[2] It is relevant for accessibility because it enables adaptive controllers to work on legacy Xbox consoles that do not natively support them.

Specifications and features

The Wingman XB2 is a small USB device measuring 8.7 by 6.7 by 2.5 centimeters and weighing 78 grams.[2] It includes adjustable turbo settings at 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 clicks per second. It also supports button remapping. A companion software called Brook Converter Center provides a visual interface for adjusting Turbo, Remap, Macro, and Stick settings.[2]

Compatibility

Consoles supported

Starting in February 2024, the Wingman XB2 no longer supports Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Brook recommends the Wingman XB3 for those consoles.[2]

Adaptive controllers supported

The Wingman XB2 supports the following adaptive controllers:[2]

Standard controllers

The Wingman XB2 also supports over 125 standard wired and wireless controllers, including Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, and arcade sticks. Brook maintains the full compatibility list on its product page.

Original Xbox connection

To use the Wingman XB2 on an original Xbox console, a USB adapter cable is required (not included).[1]
