Xbox (console)

From Accessible Gaming Wiki

The Xbox is a sixth-generation video game console developed by Microsoft. It was first released in North America on November 15, 2001. The first console in the Xbox family, it was succeeded by the Xbox 360.

The Xbox was the first home console to include a built-in hard drive and a built-in Ethernet port as standard components. It used DVD-ROMs for its games and could also play audio CDs. DVD movie playback required the Xbox DVD Movie Playback Kit, a separate accessory. Audio CDs could be ripped to the hard drive for use as custom soundtracks in supported games. Save data was stored on the internal hard drive by default, with Memory Units available for transferring saves between consoles.
