The Sega Genesis Mini, known as the Mega Drive Mini outside North America, is a dedicated mini console released by Sega on September 19, 2019. It is a miniature replica of the original Sega Genesis with 42 built-in games and HDMI output. It was developed in partnership with M2, which handled the emulation software.
The Sega Genesis Mini includes two wired controllers, replicas of the original three-button Genesis controller. It has two controller ports, a power switch, and a reset button that opens the system menu. The system menu supports save states for all games, with up to four save slots per title. It also includes display settings and language options.
